I once stayed overnight in Virginia City (years ago, with my then-girlfriend) and we had the town more or less to ourselves after the day-trippers had left. The hotel was a rickety old building that I thought was going to tip over during the night, but it didn’t. Another memorable thing was a pickup truck with the slogan:
We buy junk. We sell antiques.
Another one of those GREAT Nevada cities.
