It's beautiful but dangerous.
Luggage and bags: Air and Water tight luggage/bags is a must. Especially to keep out the creepy crawlers.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Light weight clothing for hot summer days. Long pants and heavy boots for hiking--in case you meet snakes and scorpions. Heavy clothes for the cold nights and a waterproof poncho could be useful.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Yes, bring those too.
Photo Equipment: The Usual
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: The Usual
Miscellaneous: Bring plenty of water! For you and your car.
