Welcome to my South Lake Tahoe page,
This is one of the beautiful areas of California, especially for nature lovers. For those not so interested in nature there are many casinos, shopping and nightclubs just around the lake to try your luck on.
Summers on the lake are glorious and though a night's fall of snow can lock you in during the winter, there is a special feeling of uncomplicated life, in the air of Lake Tahoe.
It seems that a special type of person chooses to live here, a rugged but peaceful person. Mountaineer is a word that comes to mind when thinking of the inhabitants of the Tahoe area. I came here for a few days rest and always wondered why more people don't choose this as a vacation spot.
I don't ski--water or snow. I'm not a hiker or much of a nature lover, but this quiet, self-contained area offers all that and more.
