Early morning is the time most surfers get here, a little surfing before going to school or work is quite refreshing and quite common. Of the early morning surfers in PB, you may notice they might seem pretty old, some as old as I am. They've been surfing since their teens and are usually some of the best surfers about.

It is not necessary to get up so early, surfing is okay all through the day until sunset. This is a beach for experienced surfers and the waves can get pretty tall. Novices can try out the waves, especially when they are not stormy high. If you'd like to try, there are rental places in PB and even lessons offered. This is your chance, why not take it? Just stay away from the pier until you are proficient.
