Welcome to my Oceanside page,

Oceanside is a small beach town in San Diego's North County, about 45 minutes drive north of downtown San Diego. I've passed through it, on Interstate 5, hundreds of times on my way to Los Angeles. Usually, the only reason I stop in Oceanside is to "gas-up" the car.

There is a Mission to see, the Harbor Marina, a pier and of course the beach are always interesting places to go on a vacation.

Camp Pendleton, a U.S. Marine base, is located here and has a great impact on the city in much the same way a large university impacts any city. Camp Pendleton is where many young men and women from all over the country who join the U.S. Marines are sent for training.

In April 2003, VT Member, Spartan, aka Barry, organized a VT Meeting for VT Member, matcrazy1, aka Matt, and his wife Ursula while they were in San Diego on vacation.

Sorry you missed the meeting. We had a wonderful time and were happy to meet even more VT Members.
