THE EPITOME OF IMAGERY | Even Batman can make it big in L.A.! |
Welcome to my Los Angeles page,
Los Angeles is the largest and most populated city in California and one of the most well known cities of the world.
The movers and shakers of the "Movie World" are still here and this is still a powerful town, but it has lost much of it's compelling charm, romance, and excitement that was once detected by the average visitor walking down the famous named streets. It has lost the promise of hope to the millions of young people who move here each year expecting to be "discovered" and made into a Movie Star or Rock Star.
More than thirty years ago I lived here and my oldest son was born in Hollywood.
Even that long ago the glamour of Hollywood and Vine had lost it's allure. Sunset Boulevard had been taken over by drugged out street kids left over by the "hippie" movement, and most of the Movie Stars had moved from Beverly Hills to other, lesser known "Hills." The glory that was, could no longer be found by anyone except those already well connected.
The first Official Virtural Tourist Los Angeles Meeting took place 19 April 2002 and what a wonderful time I had. Thanks to the organizing efforts of Yubert, VT staff and members gathered to greet "bluechromis" a charming young woman who came all the way from London, UK!
I Hope You Enjoy Your Visit, Linda |
