Beca

In a tourist area, this three wheeled bikes ( I forgot the actual name of them)--AliJoe says they are called *Beca*, Thanks for the help!--are the most interesting way of getting around--if you can wake-up the driver.

This method of getting around town seems to becoming extinct except in the tourist area. So, if you see one try it out before they are actually gone.

A Taxi Ferry a Local Option

A taxi-ferry is the fastest way of getting around in rush hour traffic. I didn't actually try this form of transportation but saw it on all the roads and thought it a good alternative considering the slow-going through "rush hour" which lasted all day and into the night sometimes. Also I think it's more economical than renting a car.

The driver provides the helmet if you don't have one of your own.

Car with Driver!

Out of the city, a car is the most convenient way of getting around. Everywhere I went it was by car with a driver. Something I highly recommend. It was so easy just getting in the car and letting someone else deal with the massive traffic.

Here we are driving up the mountain to Genting Highlands. The ride was smooth and the scenery lush and beautiful, but for this ride we hired a taxi to take us. Actually, since our party was larger we hired two taxis. The drivers seemed to be in some sort of competition to be the first to arrive and the speed around the hair-pin curves was actually scary. I asked the driver to drive more carefully and when he didn't, I told him there would be no tip. That did it and he took more care, so we were safer and happier.
