Welcome to My Dragør page,
Dragor is the village I stayed in while visiting this part of Danmark. It was the home of one of my Danish students and his mother generously invited me to stay at her home.
Dragor is an ancient village full of Danish history and there are parts of it where the buildings still have thatched roofs! This type of roof is no longer allowed due to the fact that it is an extreme fire hazard, but in this area they are still to be seen and soon will be gone. There are walking-streets in the shopping section and a small utility dock area where the fishermen bring in their catch of the day.
Dragor is about a five minute drive from Copenhagen and probably missed by most tourists. Do yourself a favor and plan to spend at least part of a day here, you won't be disappointed.
While vacationing in Kobenhavn take a day to explore the small fishing village of Dragør just over the bridge.
I Hope You Enjoy Your Visit, Linda |

bugalugs Tue Feb 21, 2006 20:59 UTC I dont know whether thatch can be made flameproof, but also I would assume that it is a dying trade like so many of the 'older' type trades, which is unfortunate. | 2rs Wed Dec 31, 2003 00:25 UTC Nice to see a Dragør page.
