<font color=#336699><b>I was brought up in Bonnie Dundee. In total, I have lived there for about 24 years, and still go back once or twice a year to visit. The Dundee of my childhood memories was a heavily industrialised city... lots of dark, tall tenements and factories. Since then, however, the city has improved greatly and, in recent years, has put real effort into diversifying its economy and making itself more attractive to visitors. And it occupies an enviable location, being well placed as a centre for touring the glens, lochs and market towns of the adjacent rural counties of Angus, Perthshire and Fife. Overlooking the "Silvery Tay", and with the Sidlaw Hills as a backdrop, Dundee is a striking city to approach from any angle, but especially the south... Take the journey over the Tay Road Bridge on a fine evening and you will see exactly what I mean!
