Victoria, the capital of British Columbia is a charming city and a blending of 2 cultures, British and Native American. Quite British with its numerous teahouses, double-decker buses, shops that specialize in china & woolens, and Native American with totem poles that can be seen in the many parks throughout. Its location on the Inner Harbor is quite busy and great for viewing the numerous ferries, seaplanes, kayaks & whale watching boats.
And what a small world it is! This may not be as remarkable as other stories I've heard but while in Victoria waiting in line for the ferry, I ran into a co-worker, both of us 1000 miles away from home. What an unexpected surprise! To top it off we were both wearing our company jackets. |
