The people of the Society Islands are very colorful and happy....enjoying a more relaxed, slower pace of life. And what a beautiful place to live. Our guide (wearing the straw skirt) and her assistants were entertaining a group of us "cruisers" on the island of Taha'a. In September of 1999, we embarked on a 7 day Society Island cruise on Radisson's "Paul Gaughin." The itinerary included spending the day in Papeete, Tahiti, then boarding the ship and sailing to Raiatea, Taha'a, Bora Bora (2 days), Moorea (2 days), back to Tahiti again for another day touring the island. |
