Hawaii Volcanoes National Park...

<font color=green><b>Hawaii Volcanoes National Park -</font></b> Established in 1916, with one of the world's most active volacanoes.
A definite MUST SEE since the Hawaiian chain of islands were formed by volcanoes that erupted on the sea floor thousands of years ago. The island of Hawaii is the youngest, and is composed of 5 volcanoes, 2 of which are still active - Kilauea and Mauna Loa. Kilauea, the most active volcanoe has been erupting since 1983.

Directions: On the southeastern coast of Hawaii, 29 miles southwest of Hilo.

Akaka Falls State Park Waterfalls Review

<font color=green><b>Akaka Falls State Park</font></b>
Located in a tropical rain forest, this park is known for 2 waterfalls, Akaka Falls (shown) which drops 420 feet, and Kahuna Falls.

Directions: Follow the signs on highway 19. Five miles west of the highway on Akaka Falls road.

A beautiful display of rare and endangered plants from around the world and those native to Hawaii. Trails wind through a Hawaiian rain forest, many flowers, fruit trees, waterfalls, bamboo, rugged coastal views, tropical birds.

Address: Seven miles north of Hilo at Onomea Bay.
