PARIS....A busy, beautiful city full of museums, historical monuments, wonderful food and drink.
Everyone knows the Arc de Triomphe with it's 12 avenues radiating out from the arc forming a star. A nice view of the city can be seen from the top. Walk down the famed Champs Elysees, sit at one of the numerous cafes and watch the people go by.
I've been to Paris twice, first time with my mother, 2nd trip with my husband. On the first trip the baggage handlers, most museums and some transportation was on strike. Hey, but that's Paris. It was an adventure from the start. We had trouble getting our baggage, The Louvre and Orsay were closed as were other museums we had wished to see. At least this city contains such a multitude of attractions that we never ran out of things to do. |
