" ... still sand in my hair..." Algeria by titti
Algeria Travel Guide: 1,036 reviews and 3,080 photos
Sitting in the middle of nowhere, looking deeply into the wide nothing, fully absorbed in listening, no sounds, I could understand how people can fall in love with the desert, and I fell in love myself with that extent of sand and rocks, rocks and sand.
But this emotional travel wouldn’t have been the same without the three “Ahmed” who came with us, taking care of us in such a lovely manner. Ahmed the cook; Ahmed the driver and Ahmed the guide. The last one, in addition to the others, had a special and difficult task: keeping a watchful eye on me in case I got lost in the desert.
