Hello Everyone! This is where I was born and raised... right here in New Jersey. Known as "The Garden State", there really aren't many gardens left here. However, there are some great places to visit: Liberty State Park, where the picture is from; the Jersey Shore with all of the bars and miles of beaches; the Pinelands with all of the lost towns that vanished into the woods, Highpoint State Park with miles of hiking trails; and scenic drives along the Delaware River. And of course there are lots of quaint towns with shopping and restaurants; Cape May, Freehold, Lambertsville, Hammondton, Roebling, Flemington, etc. We've also got some great flea markets; Columbus, Englishtown, Berlin, Cowtown, Collinswood, Brick, just to name the best. You can find all sorts of good stuff there - even things you never thought you would need! Let's not forget Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Jack Nickelson and Danny DeVito; all of whom hail from New Jersey. |
