  Hope you dont mind...but If I can give you one more bit of advise.....
  SH1 through Tirua is a major transport link. Therefore it has a lot of heavy traffic going through it. Before you look into buying your house on the main road...can I suggest that you spend some time hanging out there during the day...as you might find the truck noise gets a bit too much. This will increase during the night. I work with the Police and ran Truck stops down there and we could easly stop 200 trucks one way between 1-3am and they were the ones we could stop. I estimate that we missed another 100 as our car park was full.
