Just 200 km (ab. 120 miles) from Rio de Janeiro there is the nice peninsula with Buzios. Buzios itself is a nice village with its characteristic Rua das Pedras with many shops and restaurants. Brigitte Bardot made it famous by having her vacations there for few times.
The peninsula is like a hand in the ocean, with beautiful white beaches between its fingers. Actually, there are more than 20 beaches spread and we went to a nice posada right on the beach called Praia do Geriba' right in front of few little islands. A paradise for surfers and a nice place to relax, that is what I was looking for.
