Chad, a country lying just on the southern edge of the Sahara desert, is one of the not most well known countries of this world...
For the traveller willing to travel on the bottom end, it offers a lot: after all great, unspoilt landscapes and pretty villages with friendly people.

my first ever exposure to chad on VT. this is a nice little page on this country. i visited after reading an article on saving elephants in its national park published in national geographic march issue - last sanctuary for elephants in central africa.

Thank you for the good tips about a country that doesn't seem to have many tourists. Did you feel as safe there? Here, Safety is a granted except for the highways. I guess that is part of the experience of travelling. keep writing

u need to post emergency numbers and restaurants, shopping, entertainment, attractions(tourist), parks/camping, landmarks/ supermarkets, language-translators, and hotels too but other than that ure good to go
