I love to travel. I love to meet new people, and to learn about different cultures. I love the new experiences and moments. To me that is what travelling is all about. I started travelling at a young age on yearly family road trips throughout the U.S. and have been hooked since. My first real backpacking trip was to the South Pacific for 3 months in 2001. In those 3 months, I travelled to New Zealand, Australia, Bali, and Fiji. For the first 2 1/2 months I travelled alone and loved it. I had the most amazing time and met so many great people. It really opened my world to so many things that I was unaware of before: Daily global events that I was not hearing about in the news, cultures, opinions, traditions, etc. In addition, I was able to try things I had never done before : skydiving, bungee jumping, scuba diving, white water rafting, cave abseiling, learning to surf, etc. I guess you could say I went a little crazy, but it was so worth it. It was a wonderful journey, and along the way I met so many wonderful people and was lucky to have had some really great experiences. This site is such a great way to meet new travel buddies and to share some really great travelling experiences.

Here I am attempting to do a tandem skydive here for the first time in Bay of Island, New Zealand. What a RUSH it was......I can't imagine anything better than diving over so many beautiful islands. I highly recommend this to anyone going to New Zealand in the near future!

This photo was taken off the Coral Coast of Fiji. The water here was very warm and very shallow here. This was taken outside our bure. There are so many beautiful spots in Fiji.

This beach is called the Champagne Pools, located on Fraser Island in Australia. Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island... and is World Heritage listed. It is known for its beautiful white beaches, colored sands, and rainforest with over 100 fresh water lakes. There are over 900 different plant species and over 350 animal species. It is a true paradise. I couldn't believe how beautiful and clean everything was. We stayed on Fraser Island for 2 days on the islands only hotel. There are no concrete roads anywhere on the island. Jeeps and 4 wheel drive vehicles serve as the only transportation on the island, and where the beach is an actual hwy - ( you must yield to aircraft though!). Fraser Island was one of my main highlights in Australia - it was a great 2 day experience.

This was taken in Amsterdam, Holland during my first trip to Europe. I loved this city. There is so much to do in Amsterdam. There are so many cultures here, it's great walking down the street and hearing all the different languages. The coffeeshops and cafes were fun too, plus I can't forget to mention the Red Light District. Great people and culture.

Took a day trip from Fisherman's Wharf to Alcatraz Island. This was someplace I had always wanted to go but never found the time until now to go. There is an audio tour that tells you where all the famous inmates were housed and you can actually lock yourself in on the of cells to get a feeling of what prison life was like here. The cells were so small. A great 1/2 day trip if you are in San Francisco.
