Saint Petersburg looks very nice at your photo"Sights of Saint-Petersburg" It is top of the my travel list. Which season is the best to travel Petersburg? and why don't you add any other part of Petersburg? natura forest or other photos please,,Greetings from sunny Antalya,Turkey.

  I really think that all seasons are good for visiting Saint-Peterburg!
  Only in summer you may see the famouse Peterhof fountains. The wheather is hot sometimes, but there`re many summer entertaiments in the city.
  I like autumn most of all. Early autumn is quite warm, about +10 C. All the city become scarlet and gold because of the leafes... very beautiful!
  You know this city was "made" to seems beautiful under grey sky, all palaces colours combine good with grey - autumn colour. In autumn even the Neva is grey! It looks noble.
  Winter in Saint-petersburg is magic! we have a lot of snow... We celebrate New Year holidays for about two weeks! all museums, theatres, etc. do special New Year programmes.
  Spring is... young ) There`re many little bright flowers everywhere and people smile always!
  About photos yes of course I`ll post them a little later. I promise ))

I am a reseacher about forest trees so I like to be in nature. When I decide to date of travel Can I write to you take some other information. HI, I saw you answer if TF and came to see you photos. Nice shot of Peter and Paul Fortress. Haw you heard the story when the golden ball fall down from the top :)

  Ok, I got the book and read the story. I got the name and find the story in Russian from wiki :) It was not the ball but the cross in the top (google "pjotr teluschkin wiki", you got german pages and there is Russian link). In the book the story ended before Pjotr got the reward, is is said in the wiki? If not I can tell you :)

  I looked at Izborsk, it looks very ancient town. The settlement of Izborsk is also one of the most ancient Russian towns mentioned together with Smolensk and Polotsk towns. Izborsk is located about 30 km to the west of Pskov city. Main attraction of the place is a fortress constructed in XIV century. How can I see your Izborsk photos?

Wow, that`s great! I did it when I was 6 years old with my family )))
We lived in Saint-Petersburg and went to Vladivostok for two years. After it I travelled a lot but this jorney is unforgettable!
