Boone Plantation is hardly off the beaten path but if you are without car, it might seem so as it's far out of town on Mount Pleasant. It's pricey at $15 per person but there is quite a bit to see and a must for anyone that has enjoyed 'Gone With the Wind.' This is the Avenue of the Oaks, the main road that majestically brings you to the still functioning plantation.
