Many people come to Vegas strictly to gamble. I'm Italian American and I can tell you that if my family is any indication, the stereotype of Italians liking to gamble is very much true. I am the odd one of the bunch, I never liked it and never will. My wife hasn't been exposed to it many times. She tried it in Atlantic City, NJ when we lived nearby. But this was Vegas and she wanted to try it again. I was content to watch her play. She put $10 in and quickly won about the same amount. Slowly, though, that money leaked right back out. She was furious with herself for having lost $20 with us being so over-budget in Vegas but really, it was just our entrance fee to view all this craziness. Besides, she really only lost $10. That other $10? Unless you walk with it, you never won it in the first place.
