But if you give it a chance, you will find plenty to see and do, and not many people getting in your way. Adelaide is a pleasant small city and an oasis en route to the west coast with easy day excursions that can easily be stretched to more if time permits. From the Barossa Valley wine region to wild and wonderful Kangaroo Island, South Australia will not disappoint and will perhaps surprise you with all it has to offer.

Well true enough, Adelaide is also sometimes referred to as The City of Pubs. I thought of you the other day actually, as the hubby and I tried to pick up some beers. "Ah if only I could ask the beer-expert Richie..." Seriously! I don't know beer at all.

Richie, I hate it when your Aussie tips show me how much I missed when I had the chance! S.A. looks fantastic, the Remarkables are amazing. I never knew that you were Great White Shark bait and survived! And, was it you who popularized Australian wines?!
