Boston sits resolutely as the capital of New England with it being the only true big city in the region. But much like Philadelphia and to a lesser degree, Chicago, it also sits in the shadow of New York City. To add insult to injury, the Big City even stole their Bambino and forever their Yankees plagued the local Red Sox despite Boston’s loyal fans. But to compare all to the Big Apple is to do great disservice to comparatively pristine and user-friendly city. Though cosmopolitan with regard to its range of restaurants, theaters and museums, Boston has a much smaller town feel and generally more cozy atmosphere. Add to this that is has the country’s most intact old town centers, it is aptly considered America’s most historical city. Blessed with great open parks and perhaps the best mass transit system on this side of the Atlantic, Boston is one city that tourists from abroad can finally feel at home in. Though the country’s best calling card is its beautiful and unabashed nature, Boston is one city that can rightfully be called a must see.

    I need to do a Historical Tour of Boston sometime...I always just go there for a game then fight traffic back to Maine!! haha You must've looked terrible!!

    Du bist richtig noch einmal ;o) The overall taste of the trip was just great and even this day wasn´t soo bad. Maybe we go again one day, but no pulled pork &ribs again!!!
