Blairsville Travel Guide: 18 reviews and 38 photos
Despite its location a mere couple hours north of Atlanta, Blairsville, GA remained a relatively well kept secret mountain getaway reserved exclusively for residents of the Peach State until recently. True its location right on the Appalachian Trail assured its share of walk through visitors but it wasn’t until housing appreciation further a field took off at meteoric rates that the little gem came into closer focus for the rest of the population. With brand new single family homes a fraction of what they are in neighboring states like Florida it’s no wonder that many started heading for the hills of Georgia. What they found was an unspoiled community of winding roads through rolling hills interspersed with lakes and charming small towns out of yesteryear. With flowing rivers and an extensive trail network it’s an outdoor paradise in ample supply for seeking such pleasures. But hurry, the peach might just have a bite out of it now but mores a coming over for supper.

Hi Richie! This is a very useful page. We're going up there in a few weeks, camping for Thanksgiving. I hope it won't be too cold....
Blairsville looks like it is located in my favourite kind of terrain! Great tips Richie, but being that far away from a supply of cold beer must have been terrifying for you!!
That's what happens when you are married....you make it from packing tip to warnings and dangers....
I think the food is more to my liking than the long long trail! Enjoying the pics from the new cam :-) 5 days to go for uou, hope D has been keeping the gym up
