Though not as spectacular as many of the National Parks of the United States, the Everglades are nonetheless special. As the only subtropical preserve in North America, it has a gentle beauty all it’s own and is poetically referred to as a river of grass. Though flat and seemingly monotonous on first view, the sheer variety of vegetation is only surpassed by endless waterways and teeming bird life. It is a place that at times seems devoid of life, but on closer examination, will reveal itself as a complex amalgam of interconnecting pieces that is the very essence of it. Life as timeless as the land is vast. Escape Florida as man would have it in Miami, come and experience the natural wonder of the Everglades. |
