Münster: home to Pinkus Müller - Münster

Münster is an archetypical German city, a perfect example of the country’s resilience and ingenuity. Obliterated during WWII, the choice was made to rebuild exactly rather than modernize. This has paid off handsomely as Münster is an exceptionally pretty tourist town with ornate facade buildings lining cobblestone streets and picturesque squares. It comes particularly alive during the Christmas market season when throngs of day trippers and locals cram the narrow streets.

All the above is true but my reason for going to Münster was to visit the highly regarded Pinkus Müller brewery, ushering in the eve of my birthday in grand style. My wife graciously obliged my sometimes overzealous desires once again, putting off seeing her family one more day than perhaps necessary. It was also a chance to meet up with some good VT friends. Thanks to Caro, Sabsi, and Thomas for making our first night back in Germany a special one.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Münster. I was there recently, too, and had a fine time cycling and going to the opera and theater. (Am I really the first one to comment on this page??)
