Okay, I admit it. I would have never gone to this little town had VT members Simone and Jacob not lived here. I was not a huge Grolsch fan and despite Jacob's brand loyalty to his lovely wife's Grolsch vocation, I did not anticipate an earth shattering beer experience. I had spent the previous three successive days in Plzen, the birthplace of pilsner, in the Czech Republic, Bamberg, renowned for Rauchbier, and Dusseldorf, the Altbier capital. So, I arrived a bit jaded and quite frankly not in the mood to drink beer at all. Of course, any idea of sobriety went out the window as soon as I was picked up at the train station.
