Zagreb is not on most people’s list of must sees in Europe and though it may never join the ranks, the Croatian coast becomes more popular every year and a stop in this relaxed and charming old world capital city is the natural starting point for such excursions. Though not profoundly beautiful or a world famous seat of culture, there is more than enough to keep a traveler busy for a couple days and certainly worth a full day’s attention.

For many years now I travel to places where I know someone. If I like people, I like the place. I sincerely hope you will give Zagreb and Croatia another chance. Cause I see you've seen little and even that little was very misrepresentative.

Zagreb will always have a place in my heart because my grandfather lived there before coming to the U.S. (before WW I)
