Moerstraat B & B: to stay or not to stay

On my first trip to Bruges in 1996 and prior to VT I stayed in a great little B & B on Moerstraat though I was not one to keep notes on such things at the time. It was around 30 dollars for a single including breakfast though I imagine you'd be hard pressed to find that kind of deal today. On my next two trips to the fair city I day tripped from Ghent. With trains running so frequently between the two cities and to fairly late hours it is an easy enough thing to do. Unless you are spending two or three days in each city (well worth it if you have the time!), I find it easier to make a home base and travel from one place to the next since distances in Belgium are so short.

Unique Qualities: Moerstraat is conveniently close enough to all the sights of this fairly small town though it was a bit convoluted finding my way back there each evening after a night of drinking! It wasn't much tougher to find the train station and get back to Ghent my second year. It was nice having VTer Caro to not only drive us back to Ghent after a fun night out but to navigate us back to her car! ;)
