    Getting TO/AROUND: Though you should do as much walking as possible in the White Mountains to see the truely spectacular parts of the park, a car comes in handy to not only get there but to get from one point to the next. The roads are a dream to drive on too, with great views and in the time of fall foliage, you'll be glad you can stop whenever you like to take that picture you always dreamed of taking.

     I lived in NH most of my life, and I have always known how lucky I was. I was 1 hr. from the Mts, 30 mins. from the ocean, 63 miles from Boston, & beautiful lakes, mountains & scenery! There are NO taxes, and you can't beat the friendly people either!    		Pawtuxet Mon Mar 21, 2005 00:25 UTC
