Getting TO/AROUND: Arrived by plane from Bangkok on Freddie Laker. Being American, I had now idea of his flight record on that particular flight. No wonder it was so cheap. First time in was easier on the overnight train from Munich.

Getting TO/AROUND: Extensive Mass Transit makes it easy to get to outer areas. The inner city is quite walkable. Take a boat excursion which is included on your Eurail pass out to Melk for a lovely day trip.
