Favorite thing: Visit the Brighton Pier. It's a bit hokey, but lots of fun just the same. Have some fish & chips, go on a few rides, and enjoy the salt air.
Fondest memory: On my first trip over, swimming in the ocean in late October. Man was that cold . . . and invigorating
