Castle Weesenstein is a place fairy tales are made of. Its hilltop locale offers a majestic seating in the deeply forested Müglitz valley and 700 years of reconstructed history only add to the luster of what even the most jaded traveler finds awe-inspiring. This would be the case whether or not the scenically situated and architecturally pleasing castle had one of Saxony’s finest small breweries on the premises that I just happened to have had my wedding reception at or not. But those elements added are the things that fairy tales are made of anyway.
Enjoy. We all did.
.
The intro photo is from my very first glimpse of Schloss Weesenstein in January of 2002. The remaining photos are from our wedding reception and obviously those are not mine. Many captured great shots but thanks especially to SandySmith & hubby Dave for the bulk of them. Oh, and Sabsi always manages to get something special too when it comes to images. Thanks for making the day special and for capturing it too.

I just can't understand how you would associate a wedding with beer........! Nice stuff.
Very nice record of a very special day. D looks good in leather ;-)
what a strange and nutty and wonderful page - so glad i got married in NZ and just had to cut the cake - because I don't like beer
Beautiful fairy tale story, Lots of happiness to you both. :-)
Congratulations! I wish you a great and happy life together. I loved the wedding pics :-) ... and nice page! Greetings. Nat
A wonderful fairy tale, Richie. Much happiness for ever for both of you !
It looks like you had a great wedding day Richie! Quaffing beer and downing roast pig with all the celebrants in a hilltop German castle is hard to beat for memories!
Seems so wonderful party, no doubt the VT wedding of the year ;-)
Ahh, you had a lovely party indeed :-)) This castle looks too beautiful to be true, and hihi, yes, I can imagine that the Pfingsten Fest there even added to the atmosphere :-)) Ahh, Prost now - for the weekend :-)
What do you mean...you are NOT looking at the keg ? ;op
