a car comes in handy....

Though there is an extensive mass transit system covering much of the Dolomites, a car comes in handy for carting around all the equipment you might need and getting you from one point to the next exactly when you want to go. We might have been stuck for a couple days here but with a car, we could opt to leave a day earlier and just leave our stuff in the car while we hiked. And then leave as soon as we got back. In fact, we made it all the way back to Murnau in Bavaria, and I had a great Weissbier that very night! ;=>
