A funny thing happened to me on my way from my Sydney page to doing one on the highlights of Queensland. I discovered that VT has only two places listed for Queensland and they're so close together that it seems pointless really. Brisbane is a nice enough place, but to have it and one for the Gold Coast seems kind of redundant especially since they managed to leave Cairns off the map entirely even though my guess says just about every tourist to Australia makes their way up there to see the GREAT BARRIER REEF!!!! Anyway, I still don’t know what to do with all my Queensland pictures, but I guess I’ll either put them all in the Brisbane page or all the southern ones in the Gold Coast page and all others in Brisbane. But I do know what I can do with these stupid pictures I took in Canberra now, I can make a page out of them because it’s there. Like a mountain, I can do one because it’s there.

A good 'up-front' page on your impressions of Canberra! I sort of had the same general impression, which is one of the reasons we did not bother going there at all! Yikes, that capital building is ugly!

I see some analogy with Brazil and its capital... Well, in Poland we sing "don't move the capital to Krakow" - there are many disadvantages being a capitol city.

Next time don't visit on a public holiday. Most people just dont get it, the city is PLANNED not to have traffic jams, and sorry if a clean safe city is too dull for you.

It is very hard to find Canberra, isn't it? Even if you are standing right in it. But maybe it has/ will change after it's horrendous experience.
