the jumble of buildings is its main asset - Bamberg

the jumble of buildings is its main asset

the sheer diversity

Some cities have one hallmark building or attraction but what makes Bamberg special is its sheer number of magnficent buildings of various styles. You will walk by Gothic, Baroque, and half-timbered houses that manage to remain distinct while seamlessly flowing together. I have been there in all four seasons now and must say it has its charms in all. From the stark winter months to the leafy summer, Bamberg is a city that will get inside you if given half a chance.
