Hi and welcome to my pages! I'm a 26-year University researcher from Ljubljana, Slovenia, that small, green and relatively unknown piece of Europe that has recently become a new member state of the EU. I love to live here, but I'm always eager to go someplace new and exciting. I share this passion for travels with my wife Irena and together we've seen places that have inspired our imagination and made us wonder at the beauties of this world. So far we've seen Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Egypt, and many of the European countries. But the world is ful of exciting places, so who knows where we might go next. From exotical places this might be Africa or Asia, while from the Western Countries we're bound to make a trip to one of the Nordic countries in Europe as we seem to have luck finding friends there (Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands and Iceland).

Life is going on in Ljubljana as well and Irena and have moved to our own flat last year and got married this year. We have been together for 6 years now and as we get more sucked into our every day jobs it's time to make some life choices about the future. The end of our studies does not mean the end of our travels though. Our latest travel was Cuba for 3 weeks for our honeymoon and it was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately busy jobs do mean I have much less time to devote to VT page building, so I hope everyone will enjoy in the pages that are already up and running and cross their fingers for any new pages to come in the future (there's plenty of material, if only I had the time...)

The way I see it, travelling is all about being opened - in your heart and in your mind, opened to new possibilities, new adventures, different cultures, meeting new people, seeing how colorful this world of ours is and appreciating the diversity surrounding us as a virtue. I think Virtual Tourist has done a wonderful job in bringing this diversity closer to everyone and I hope my contribution will add another stone to this great mosaic.

I've been on VT for quite some time now and I have met some great people up here. At the same time, the purpose of my writings has changed through time. At beginning , I was kind of writing boring tips, but later on I found out I get much more out of writing, if I focus more on my own thoughts and feelings. So the newer pages are a more personal and better reflection of my travels.
