"China" a China Travel Page by margaretvn

We have been to China twice. The first time was in 1991 and then again in 1997. We took organised trips although we don't really like them, we like to organise everything for ourselves. We had a limited amount of time though for the holidays and by going on an organised trip we managed to see more of the country. On our second visit we noticed so many changes in China, that was very interesting to see, although many of the old building and especially typically "Chinese" areas of cities were being knocked down and being replaced with new houses. That of course is good for the people as it means that their living accomodation is improving but it removes some lovely photo opportunities!
One very important part of the trip was the people, I love "people watching". So in my travelogue I am including a chapter entitled People.
