We took a short touring holiday through Normandy and visited several places. Rouen was the first main stop on the tour. It really is a beautiful city with a long history. It also has connections with England as Richard the Lionheart is buried in the cathedral. Also the history of Joan of Arc is linked to the English and she was burnt at the stake in Rouen. |
