| Aberdeen city and harbour |
I am sure that the words; oil, granite and bad weather come to mind when thinking of Aberdeen, but there is a lot more to the 'Granite city' & 'The Oil Capital of Europe' besides all this. The weather is really not that bad, there is some great scenery nearby and the city is brilliant. I have had a great few years studying at Aberdeen University and i'm sure you will enjoy your time here too... I hope that you find this information useful and that I can encourage you to take a trip here, you will not regret it - Promise.... |

uglyscot Tue Feb 27, 2007 08:18 UTC happy birthday, fellow Pisces, and fellow graduate of Aberdeen. Though it must have changed since the 1960s! | alanhaggart Thu Jul 7, 2005 10:37 UTC Hardly anyone in Aberdeen speaks Gaelic. There are a few TV programmes in Gaelic, but you will NEVER hear it spoken other than that. Gaelic is only really spoken on the west coast or the hebridean islands. | scottishvisitor Wed Jun 15, 2005 16:25 UTC Glad to see your positive points on Aberdeen -Good page | mrjemm Wed Aug 18, 2004 06:53 UTC I've got some catching up to do! Catch you about, J*m |
