    Alcatraz: Alcatraz II
  • Tip Rating:
  • This company also offers tours to Alcatraz. They offer tours with or without audio. (Audio is recommended). Adult prices are $13.25 for audio or $9.25 without. Seniors (62+) and children (5-11) are a bit less. There is an added charge of $2.25 for tickets purchased on the internet. Reservations should be made 7-10 days in advance.

    The ferries are handicap accesible.

If you get the audio tour, they give you a head set and hand held recorder. The recoreders are available in English, Spanish, Japanese, French, and German. Just tell them what language you want when they hand them out to you.
You can stop and start the recorder as needed, and go at your own pace.

We used to do live radio broadcasts from Alcatraz when it was occupied by the Indians, around 1969 or 70. Did you rent one of those bicycles at Pier 41? I don't know if that was even possible when I lived there. (I lived in Berkeley, actually.)

Nice page. I think you are referring to the wrong Radisson-hotel (there are three in SF). Your hotel is called "Radisson at Fisherman's wharf", Radisson Miyako is the one in Japantown.
