"Famous for not being that famous" Guangzhou by JHarris88

Guangzhou Travel Guide: 935 reviews and 2,101 photos

If you were to ask the average person to name the top five places to visit in China, Guangzhou probably wouldn't make their list. But, many corporates make China's third largest city home, plus was the first ever trading port in mainland China.

Most famous for its food (Cantonese) and language (Cantonese), Guangzhou does have temples, parks and other touristy things to do.

Plus, its close to Macau and Hong Kong as well as a good base to explore the rest of South East Asia.
