Anyone traveling to Vietnam should check-out Sinh Cafe.They offer tour packages that are very well organized and very inexpensive.They would save you a lot of money and time.If you planned and did everything on your own I don't think you could do it any cheaper.

They have their own bus system and regular bus schedule which runs between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.You can get on and off at any of the cities or towns along the way.Many tour companies and cafes sell open date bus tickets but once you leave that town, you are on your own. I was in Vietnam for a short period of time.Saw Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) on my own and had a few extra days left.Took a chance and signed up for the 3 day Mekong Tour. It turned out to be the best part of South Vietnam.
