"Everything I hated I took home with me" New York City by cooperstouch

I think I love traveling alone for multiple reasons. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy trips with good friends and family but something about traveling with a romantic relationship just has so much potential for bad things to happen. This is my experience in New York. It was definitely nice to realize how opposite we were and who knows, maybe this saved me from being with the wrong person but either way put a rough taste in my mouth for New York. While we were there I wanted to see different sites and different things and everything seemed to come down to a fight. I enjoy trying new foods in different places and he wouldn't eat anything unless it was a clean diner and some place he felt safe. I liked talking to everyone and he wanted to sit in the corner. I feel like there's a lot of culture and life in New York that I missed and so therefor I slightly resent my trip there. I'd love to go back I still haven't seen the Brooklyn Bridge or Statue of Liberty. Maybe someday I'll give the city another chance, just not today...
