  • Don't miss the local shopping..there are several great little places featuring Idaho Artisans. A wonderful yarn and needlework shop features locally made one-of-a-kind clothing! A terrific gift shop with a charming jewelry shop right next door. This shopping mecca is located on E.Lake Street in McCall right next door to one of the oldest markets in the area, 'Pauls Market' where you can find pretty much anything you might need for camping, picnicing, or just trying their terrific deli and bakery. They even have a drygoods section with great clothing at reasonable prices.

  • This happens every year..Moving the sheep for the summer season means that drivers must find other routes of travel..this ritual is carried out in the early summer and then in the fall again, and its really fun to see..If you live in Idaho and in the mountains your life gets slightly disrupted by these fellows on the move..

Very nice to see a VT page on McCall, & great tip on the Winter Carnival! I used to live in Boise & I really enjoyed going up to McCall for that!
