"A Closer Look at Amsterdam!" a Netherlands Travel Page by pipster

After visiting Amsterdam for the fourth? (I have lost count!) time I have decided that you must bypass the obvious and take a closer look at the out of the way spots in Amsterdam! There really is so much to see. The museums are of course incredible, and people watching is a must, but walking down the untraveled streets and peering into shop windows on Sunday mornings is quite a treat in itself! Unfortunately the worlds most wonderful quilt shop was closed that day so I had to be content with just dreaming of all those delicious fabrics I could almost see through the darkened glass!
And I swear this city never sleeps..lots of activity even at 5 a.m....This picture was taken during a canal cruise. The boat was covered but it was still a bit chilly being March. This is certainly a way to see a lot in a relatively short time....So much to look at ..couldn't click my camera fast enough...
