Ok, heres a tip for all you Americans, please re-learn the art of "knife and fork" before going thanks...
The French are cool, and are very friendly. Many Americans talk about how rude the French are, and how they hate Americans which is wrong. Yes, no doubt they hate the typical American tourist, fat with a huge expensive camera, a map and a harsh accent (Texan, Deep-South) trying to speak French, no wonder! I had one French lady tell me, that she hated Americans. She gave no reason why, but shared a joint with me, so who cares! Learn some manners and atleast try to understand the language/culture, and you'll find the French to be very nice, charming and giving people.
And come the end of the trip you might even wish that you were French!
