Bryce Canyon

Bryce Point at Bryce Canyon
Bryce Canyon is a absolute must see for anyone visiting Utah. Nowhere on earth can there be a much weirder looking spot than this Canyon. In fact it isn't a canyon in the true sense of the word. Along its twenty mile long shelf, eight thousand feet above sea level, successive strata of absolutely dazzling coloured rock - yellows, whites, reds and flaming oranges - have slipped and slid and washed away to leave a menagerie of multicoloured and contoured stone shapes.
The most spectacular of the many viewing points is at Bryce Point, where this photo was taken.
My travelogue has now been updated and includes 20 photos taken in Bryce Canyon, plus decriptions of the various attractions. I trust you will find it enjoyable, do please take a look.
It is best to drive the nearly 20 miles to the far end of the park at Rainbow Point first as we did, and then stop at the viewing points on your way back. The reason being that all 13 viewpoints are on the east side of the main park road, and this way you avoid having to make left turns in front of oncoming traffic.
