Arizona, along with Utah, are my favourite states, both of which I have visited several times. The scenery is spectacular to say the least, and the bright red landscape at Monument Valley, as depicted in the photo above is absolutely amazing.
This state is home to the Grand Canyon and to Monument Valley, which is one of my favourite destinations. The whole Monument Valley area is on Navajo reservation land and is, of course, the setting for many major film productions, including 'Stagecoach' (1938), the John Ford directed classic western, 'My Darling Clementine', 'The Searchers', 'How the West was Won' and more recently 'Back to the Future 3'. Part of the film 'The Eiger Sanction' was filmed here, where Clint Eastwood had some perilous moments on top of the Totem Pole.
